To go with an easy answer, analogous to the idea of three basic personalities or response patterns:
1/3 are opportunists to varying degrees of amorality; any crisis is an opportunity to be exploited. These people only complain as a tactic, they don't actually care about any issue. I'm not passing judgement, as there are situations where opportunism is fully justified, and as said the degree may well vary from creating a crisis to exploit, to making the best of a bad situation. Hence, this group is only interested in revelations from the angle: "How do I respond to/make use of this?"
1/3 are realists, ranging from apathetic and numbed by information overflow to believers and pragmatics. This is simply the way the world works, can't change it, best keep your head down and don't draw attention to yourself making one end of the slide ruler and "I've got better things to do than worrying about stuff I can't affect anyway, have you seen the new season of [whatever the fad show of the week is] yet?" Perfectly normal, not immoral or amoral, just your average human trying to make their way without getting stepped nor stpping on others.
1/3 are oppositional, ranging from crusading truthseeking prophets professing to possessing the One True Truth that they alone somehow just know is true, to highly moral and ethical people (no matter which specific set of morals) who instinctively and as if on reflex protest against the world not living up to its ideals (as perceived and defined by the oppositional person). Again, I make no judgement as there are times when the frothing doom-seer not only is right by blind man's luck but when his or hers outrage and vision is necessary for action to be taken, just as the perpetually oppostional are are the squeak in the machine telling the operatorwhere grease or repairs are needed, so to speak.
In real life, all of us have this in greater and lesser parts. As a Venn diagram with partially overlapping oval-shaped circles, sort of. But 3-dimensional as we have ovals pertaining to issues of culture, gender, age and so on, time and place, and the immediacy of the situation in question.
