UKHSA Week 8: Vaccine failure in UK and USA

This is a part of my UKHSA series reports about how well (and actually NOT so well) is the vaccine working in the UK. Here are some of my previous posts.

UKHSA is out with their Week 8 report. This covers Weeks 4-7. This means that about 3 out of 4 weeks of their data INCLUDES REINFECTIONS. As Reinfections affect the vaccinated more, they add further to the deterioration of just how badly the boosted are doing compared to the vaccine-free Brits.

The red bars is the “case rate” of Covid in the boosted Brits, and the blue bars are in the vaccine-free persons. For the 40-49 years old category, for example, the amount of cases per 100,000 persons is over THREE TIMES HIGHER IN THE BOOSTED, compared to the unvaccinated. No kidding. So much for “98% effective”. The actual “effectiveness” of the vaccine at preventing Covid for 40-49 year olds, is now MINUS 226%. This means, in plain English, that a boosted Brit between ages of 40-49, is 3.26 TIMES more likely to get Covid, than an unvaccinated person of the same age.

Deaths

5.6 times more Covid deaths occurred in the boosted population, than among the unvaccinated. Add all deaths in table 12: 3,115 boosted persons sadly died, whilst only 555 of unvaccinated persons died. As 8.7% of Brits are fully UNvaccinated, and 65% are boosted, this means that there is 7.55 boosted persons per every vaccine-free one. You can see, from this, that “death protection” is now very modest. Indeed, this death chart shows details:

The UK (as does any other country) shows continued drop in “death protection” week after week. This week, for the most vulnerable 80+ age group, death protection dropped by whopping 8%, from 64% to 56%. The drop seems to be accelerating.

To be sure: boosters (unlike the primary series) still provide protection from death. But the extent of this protection (effectiveness) is dropping by 5-6% per week, which is what the table below shows.

The same exact thing is happening in the USA:

The boosters effectiveness against death, will also eventually turn negative, as it did for “fully vaccinated” people.

We tried to warn everyone; but they did not listen. This is not our fault. The boosted people are our loved ones and I would like to remind everyone about the need for compassion as their situation becomes concerning.
