I cannot thank you enough. I could not hope for a better company! I hope that you feel, as I do, that in my comment sections, everyone is respected, and all opinions are allowed. Your comments are most valuable and interesting to me.
Special thanks go to my paying subscribers. Every one of them is paying only because of the goodness of their hearts. How do I know that? Very simple! The paid subscribers get no tangible benefit whatsoever: no subscriber-only posts, no subscriber-only commenting, etc. They only support me because they want to give and contribute.
While I appreciate paid subscribers, I do not write to make money. I write because I have something to share that I believe to be of interest to others. My posts are written having all subscribers, paid and unpaid, in my mind.
I was afraid that opening a paid option would screw up my substack by incentivizing bad behavior (grift and dishonest reporting) on my part, but now I am cautiously optimistic. I feel that I can have a good blog going while reporting only things I believe to be true. I occasionally dramatize, but I try hard not to distort anything intentionally. Please let me know if you ever feel otherwise.
On the personal front, things are going well: my broken foot is healing (thanks to your good wishes), and I recently went on my first vacation in three years.
Being on the beach was very relaxing and therapeutic.
Let me know what you would like me to write about!
I want to ask you for suggestions: are there any specific topics you want to be covered?
Let me know, and again, thanks to all! I hope that I will not run out of post ideas in the future. Wishing every subscriber the best!
