Yes. After having the FVRCP vaccine, my cat went into kidney failure and had to be euthanized. Never again will I be bullied by aggressive vax-promoting vets.

I'm so sorry. We lost two kittens to FIP. It's disorder caused by poor post exposure response to coronavirus vaccines. Those vaccines were given by the breeder, not by us, but we bore the full emotional and financial costs of their destroyed health. RIP to all the sweet kitties.
I’m so sorry😢. I’ve argued with many a vet about vaccines over the years. They’re maddening. Our policy has always been - just stay away from the vet (and the doctor) unless absolutely necessary (emergency/trauma, etc). Much healthier all the way around.
An honest vet a number of years ago wrote that yearly vaccinations are not necessary--it makes sense doesn't it, as immunity is built after the 1st exposure; same with the nonsense of boosters. This is a steady income for the veterinarian profession but at a cost to the cats and dogs and human owners.
My outdoor pets have been healthy for about a decade so far.
I do encourage the first round of puppy shots, parvo is a horrible disease and can live in the ground for a long time. Yearly for the rest of their lives, no definitely not needed.
Oh yeah, I did get the first set of shots that are actually required here when you buy a pup with its papers. I’m just not going to do the yearly shots, but thank you for the information!
really, you don't need anything besides food, water and shelter. What's your point? Relationships/Companionship are also human needs. You can survive without it, but your mental health will suffer.
Average cat in my country costs 9000 EURO over a lifetime. That'd be better spent donating to cancer research, or someone like Dr. Kevin McCairn, who is testing the contents of the gene-jabs.
My point is, it's a luxury, a modern luxury, to maintain an animal for the sake of petting.
Some are enraged when a person makes a different choice about taking a vaccine. Others are enraged when a person makes a different choice about caring for a companion animal.
Some of us are sufficiently challenged by managing our own lives that managing those of other people is off the table.
Yeah. We should focus on the bad actors here. But that's a real challenge. Can't be advocating vigilante justice online. Another good donation target would be Reiner Fuellmich's group, or others who are working to prosecute.
Maybe you'd do well to research the history of pets. Through most of our (European) history, expensive companion animals were only kept by the nobility. Normal people only kept animals that worked for them. For example, farmers with horses for ploughing, or dogs for alarm/defense.
Well, gosh darnit. I'm not nobility but I ain't 'normal' either and my cats throughout my life have been as good or better to me than many a vaunted 'human'. That being said, having a companion animal is a big responsibility and should never be gone into lightly or on a 'whim'. I've seen far too many people regret their decision to get a dog or cat because they didn't thoroughly look into the breed or prepare themselves for the allocation of money and time needed for the responsibility of a sentient mammal with their own personalities and emotional as well as physical needs.

Just got a new puppy. No more shots for him either.

Here's a thought: you do not need a pet.

Are you calling me enraged about the existence of petting animals? I have a mild disdain for the practice, that's all.
And i'm totally against anyone mandating vaccines for your petting animals, so cheers.

People didn't need them then, nor do they now.

And yet your attempts to raise objections to my original statement, which was 'you don't need pets', still fail.
