FWIW, this is what my vaxxed/boosted friend who manages clinical trials for Pfizer told me via text about monkeypox:

"The dipshits put it under the gays, but in reality it is spread through aerosol-- speaking- sweating, close contact like sharing towels, cups or changing a baby's diaper. It seems like a gay disease, but it is not. Whenever they state there are 1 or 2 cases, it's more like 100 or 200, so there a bunch of little kids that have it now. In China, when they say 1 or 2 cases it's like 1000 or 2000."

I take what she said with a grain of salt. I think those in charge at Pfizer are good at making their employees feel like they are the Saviors of Humanity, plus... she buys into the MSM talking points.

"It seems like a gay disease, but it is not."

Yet 98+% of the cases (or something like that) are gay men. Really tired of these "who you gonna believe, me or your lyin' eyes" experts.

I saw a twitter post the other day of a guy who caught monkeypox and claimed he wasn't gay, he just "occasionally" had sex with men. So think about that folks, even straight people can catch it!

The only person I'm in close physical contact with is my wife of two decades so forgive me if I'm not ready to hit the panic button.

I honestly think she has succumbed to the Pfizer brainwashing, and whatever Pfizer/ MSM says, she believes.

As for not hitting the panic button, but I'm in the same situation that you are. The only close contact I have is with my husband. And I work at home. So really, I'm not at risk for this.

I think Covid has broken people, I have never seen anything like the mass delusion. Anyways, glad you aren't drinking the kool-aid and are risk-free. I feel for people who catch this as I hear the pain is awful, but we can treat and protect them without frightening the entire population.

BTW, there was just a news release out that around 50% of those with monkeypox had HIV. On top of that, gay men are 95% Covid vaccinated (one of the highest rates of all groups) and we know the immune system harm that can cause.

People who fall for this fear-mongering want to be scared and miserable, there really is no other explanation at this point. Live your life, trust God, and for goodness sakes don't stick your privates where they don't belong.

I think there are a few things going on. Some people like being told what to do. Others see lockdowns as an easy way to stay home and get paid to do nothing for a year or two, via unemployment. I think others simply feel more alive when something like this is going on; it might be a thrill for them.

For my friend, I think that it's another episode of "I'm working for Big Pharma, and the work I'm doing is Saving The World."

Sorry, but that sounds like fear-mongering.
