Meningitis and other Adverse Effects are No Big Deal!

Big news for the developing world: finally a vaccine against malaria has been approved by the WHO. Great success, right?

All the obligatory self-congratulating words are there: groundbreaking, historic, reinvigorate… Finally something good from Bill Gates, no?

But look at the details:

So this vaccine, from the get-go, is only “30% effective against severe disease”. This “vaccine” does not prevent malaria, it does not even prevent 70% of severe outcomes, it is only “30% effective against severe outcomes”.

Does that perhaps resemble any other Bill Gates-associated “vaccine” of late? How did that one work out? Please help me remember…

Bill Gates Involvement

We know that Bill Gates loves children. He loves children more than he loves money, which he also loves a lot. His love for children is very special.

And here again, Bill is at the forefront of promoting this “30% effective against severe disease” vaccine for malaria, for little kids.

Just about every other (besides BMGF) organization involved with this 30% effective against severe disease” vaccine is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation:

Adverse Effects

I had a pretty reasonable question, is this “30% effective against severe disease” malaria vaccine, really safe and effective? Or is it associated with a lot of adverse effects, like the other infamous “barely effective against severe disease” vaccine, whose name I cannot mention or else I would lose my Twitter account?

Turns out, there is a lot of adverse effects to choose from, search Google Scholar for “RTS,S/AS01 adverse effects” and have fun!

For a 30% effective against severe disease, this vaccine surely has a lot of adverse effects! A lot of meningitis, without a clear mechanism, suggests that this malaria vaccine unlocks brain entry for meningitis pathogens. But that’s no big deal and definitely not something to be discussed by well behaved Bill Gates sponsored scientists, officials and “health experts”.

Look how smartly they reclassify meningitis to be something else, to avoid showing an obvious safety signal? Does that also resemble anything?

Anyway, meningitis is obviously mild and shows that the vaccine is working as intended.

Why Is Bill Gates Promoting this Vaccine?

A question arises: if Bill Gates really wanted to help children, why would he be promoting a vaccine that barely prevents severe outcomes, seems to cause meningitis in infants, and would not eradicate malaria (which is hard to eradicate anyway)?
