Bob Saget is a Perfect Example why Omicron and Vax Deaths are Hard to Count
Bob Saget was boosted, had Omicron, and died suddenly
Bob Saget, a 65 year old, died in a hotel room in Orlando on Jan 9.
The anti-vaxx community, myself included, was quick to note that Bob Saget was boosted some time before his death.
Well, it looks like things are more complicated:
Bob Saget was indeed Boosted on Nov 27
Despite (or regardless of) being boosted, he recently had Covid, which he referred to being Omicron, from which he “recovered”
Despite being “recovered” from Covid and despite “safe and effective” booster, Bob Saget died suddenly in his hotel room on Jan 9.
Why did Bob Saget die? Is that because he is 65 years old? Is that because he was boosted? Is that because of his recent Covid? Or all of the above? How can we even know?
While Bob Saget is just one individual, it seems certain that
Most people will get infected with Covid by March
Most of these people will be vaccinated and half of those, boosted
Some of them will die like Bob Saget because this seems to happen often with Omicron, or booster, or who knows what
My understanding of statistics is that determining causality here is next to impossible without a major statistical effort, major funding, and any answer will be disputed.
The major source of confusion is that almost everyone (who was not infected prior) will get Covid soon. Thus, comparing apples to apples may be difficult because of problems finding a “control group”, for example persons who were boosted but did not contract Covid.
In a couple of months, we will probably end up with a certain amount of “excess mortality”, such as sudden home deaths, that are recorded neither as Covid deaths, nor as vax deaths, but otherwise would be unexplainable as to their sheer number.
My personal hypothesis is that it is a very bad thing to get boosted, temporarily become a walking mRNA spike protein factory, and right at the same time simultaneously get infected with more-spike-producing Covid virus. This is too much spike and too much damage and likely will cause more “sudden deaths” than just in one person named Bob Saget.
For official statistics, Bob Saget will not count as a boosted death and likely will NOT be counted as a Covid death either. Thus, his death will NOT reflect badly on the “safe and effective” vaccine. He also does not count against “unvaccinated people on a ventilator” because Bob Saget had a “mild” death. But the truth is that without the booster and without Covid coming together, Bob Saget would likely still be with us.
Bob Saget’s story makes me glad that I recovered from Covid a long time ago. But it is also a reminder to all of us to at least watch our loved ones who had Omicron recently so they could get help if they suddenly fall ill.
Kelly Ernby
Our astute readers reported that the same thing happened to presumably vaccine-free Kelly Ernby, Orange County Attorney.
She had a mild case of Covid, recovered, was gardening, and died instantly from a blood clot.

Realistically, it's damn near impossible to prove causality statistically. Even RCTs don't truly prove causality with perfection. The best statistics can really get us with so many confounders floating about is quasi-causal approximations. What we need is not statistics. It's autopsies by people that know what to look for. The autopsies are being done anyways, so it comes down to training the people doing those autopsies to look for the right things... That would be cheaper and irrefutable... Either way. But it would need honest, meaningful government to get it done. Meh. Quasi-causal approximations it is!
Here is another suspicious death:
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/jan/11/david-sassoli-european-parliament-president-dies-aged-65
"David Sassoli, the president of the European parliament whose final political intervention had been to oppose the building of walls on the EU’s borders, has been praised for his kindness following his death at the age of 65. The former journalist, whose three-year term as speaker of the chamber was due to end next week, had been admitted to hospital in Aviano, in his native Italy, on Boxing Day following a “dysfunction of his immune system”. He died at 1.15am on Tuesday."
It's near certain he was vaccinated and most probably boosted, being an elderly Italian citizen - Italy managing to persuade around 90% of the adult population to get injected, boosting around half of those.
A "serious complication due to a dysfunction of the immune system" (Wikipedia ATM) is highly suspicious, I've never seen this cited as a cause of death of any publicly known person. Curiously, he had pneumonia in September (probably fully vaccinated at that point), which took two months to recover from, so he only resumed his duties as speaker in December. Then I'd speculate he got boosted (ostensibly to protect his weakened lungs), Italian and Belgian boosting drives being in overdrive at that time due to the Omicron menace. On Boxing Day (December 26th) his immune system just collapsed and they fought for his life for a fortnight.
A lot of speculation, yes, but highly probable in my opinion. Could a MD weight in what the hell could be a "serious complication due to a dysfunction of the immune system" and how probable is that? Could somebody dig up some sources in Italian as to the nature of this dysfunction?
