China Censors Do Not Know What to Do. But NY Times Censors Know What to Do
The willful blindness of NY Times is astounding
A gem from NY Times. Hat tip Modern Discontent.
New York Times is optimistic that China censors will still find something to keep themselves busy after all. After years of scaring Chinese citizens, the censors will switch to spreading “positive energy”:
In the weeks since “zero Covid” ended, China’s all-encompassing propaganda and censorship machine has fallen into its old routine of deleting negative press and spreading “positive energy” posts that praise the struggles of individuals and the government. But experts said the three-year trauma caused by the stringent pandemic measures and the last-minute U-turn will prove hard for people to quickly move past.
I wonder who are the “experts” who NY Times consulted? They could have asked me, and probably you, my dear reader. It is hard for all of us to “quickly move past” the abuse, gaslighting, lies, and censorship. We are human beings just like the Chinese people.
Without as much as a smirk, another NY Times article proclaims:
Wow! China is ruled by a party that never apologizes! How unusual. China is so different from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and the USA, right? Did NY Times ever apologize for lying about Covid, vaccines, and so on? Not that I remember.
Gripped with grief, anxiety and depression, people want a national reckoning of what went wrong. Many are now on an almost quixotic quest in the belief that the government should acknowledge its harsh policies were a severe mistake and should apologize for the harm it has caused.
I applaud Chinese people for wanting to keep Covid Criminals accountable. I am surprised that NY Times is so blind as not to see me, you, and thousands of people like us asking for Covid justice and reckoning right here.
We are crazy right-wing conspiracy theorists asking for Nuremberg 2.0. We do not deserve justice, accountability, reckoning, and apologies, according to NY Times and our censors.
The Chinese people, of course, do deserve apologies and reckoning, says NY Times.
We demand censorship and need to have misinformation stamped out, say NY Times censors while thanking the Biden administration for taking care of the social networks. NY Times-approved censorship is okay, right?
My Opinion
We will not get “justice” until we bring it about through our actions, not forgetting the past, and through peaceful acts of protest.
If we “move past Covid,” we do not deserve to be heard next time something happens suddenly.
Do we deserve justice? Let us know what you think.
And thank you for listening.
please stop funding that fascist rag that isnt fit to be used as bird cage liner
A+ post (as usual for you). I believe we should not "move on" until the world knows the following:
The Pfizer and Moderna "gold standard" randomized clinical trials showed 4 people killed for every 3 saved, that is, the vaccine groups had 4 extra non-COVID deaths for every 3 less COVID deaths overall (compared to the placebo groups), even during the deadliest Alpha wave in winter 2020-2021. The separate Pfizer and Moderna trials both showed a 15-20% increase in non-COVID deaths, and specifically a 40-50% increase in cardiovascular-related deaths, with vaccine versus placebo.
