I have decided to give my readers a short break from Covid article writing and write about something else. I am writing two Covid articles right now though.
There is an amusing article out on CNN:
Apparently, CNN is explaining to its readers that inflation is caused by “Global Warming”. I mean, you would be a conspiracy theorist to think that inflation is caused by printing money or suppressing production of hydrocarbons, making them expensive, right?
How is inflation caused by global warming? CNN lists, as the first reason, the “unseasonably cold winters”, caused by “global warming”. Get this?
But it gets better. Apparently, global warming also caused the “supply chain crisis”.
The pandemic has gotten Americans used to supply chain troubles. But with increasingly frequent extreme weather events, these disruptions might become more common — even once Covid is a thing of the past.
That’s right, 100+ containerships moored near California, are sitting there because of “climate caused disasters”.
Federal Reserve seems to agree that it has nothing to do with inflation, and instead of doing its job, is “leading the climate action”.
Last year, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell called for a coordinated response to climate change to mitigate the risks to the world economy. Managing inflation is one of the Fed's two main mandates, along with keeping unemployment low. Soaring prices during the pandemic recently led the bank to change its policies.
The Fed’s plan to combat inflation seems to be: print a lot of money to “respond to climate change”, and wait until that “brings prices down”.
With amazing leadership at the helm, I am stocking up on popcorn to watch what happens next.
Here in the UK we have had an unseasonably mild winter so far. Does this mean all the 'quantative easing' by the Bank of England in the last two years hasn't worked?
Perhaps the COVID narrative is pivoting to climate lockdowns? Back in 2006, I saw "Inconvenient Truth" and I became a CO2 doomsdayer. Eventually, I became so concerned that I started obsessively reading about it. At some point, I finally realized there was no real proof for it and I eventually "cured" myself and became a climate skeptic. I remember a quote from a globalist who said something to the effect that "it doesn't matter if global warming is real or not since we can use it to justify the NWO".
