I read this article by Dr Malone:
It says, as is repeated below, that “deaths are up 40% among people aged 18-64”.
My first reaction was that the article he is referencing, “Indiana life insurance CEO says deaths are up 40% among people ages 18-64” — is fake news from a sketchy news website masquerading as an Indiana paper. I mean, this is so crazy, how could it be true?
So I decided, as I usually do when I hear something outlandish, is to try some fact checking. First, I looked at the source a little. First of all, unlike “Conejo Guardian”, this seems to be a publication writing about much more than Covid. A lot of their articles are business related. It was created in Feb 2019, a year before Covid, according to its WHOIS data.
Domain Name: thecentersquare.com

Registrant State/Province: Illinois
It belongs to “Franklin News Foundation” which was, not surprisingly, classified by liberal “Media Bias analysts” as “Right-Center Bias”.
The life insurance company mentioned in the article called “OneAmerica” does exist. It sells various insurance products, such as “term life”, whole life etc. It has a review in Ivestopedia, a JD Power rating, an AM Best rating, lots of agents and employees.
Now let’s move along to the claim itself — that deaths are up 40% among people aged 18-64”.
Look at USMortality.Com “Excess deaths” page and select 25-44 years old:
You will see that, indeed, excess mortality of 25-44 year olds is roughly 40% of the usual mortality. This perfectly matches what CEO Scott Davison allegedly said at a conference.
You will see that this excess mortality after the winter wave only started in April, strangely coinciding with vaccine rollout for this age group.
There was a bump in September, coinciding with the Delta wave and explaining some of the deaths in this group — but far from all. What is the cause of the rest of excess mortality? We need to find out.
Here’s the speech by Scott Davison in the meeting. Here’s the video: https://cbs4indy.com/video/chamber-of-commerce-indiana-hospital-association-discuss-covid-impact/7267146/
Watch it from 21:00 seconds. This Scott Davison is NOT at all an antivaxer and he, in fact, starts his speech by mentioning that he will require all his employees to be vaxxed. But then he opens his mouth and says what Dr Malone is quoting — that deaths are unbelievably elevated. It is a “twelve sigma” increase in deaths according to him. (he said that 10% is three sigma and 40% is therefore 12 sigma event).
Therefore, the alleged claim by Scott Davison, echoed by the Center Square and Dr Malone is TRUE.
Rated: TRUE and also: VERY DISTURBING AND WARRANTING FURTHER INVESTIGATION
Unbelievable. The CEO of OneAmerica spends several minutes telling why he is going to require vaccination for all his employees then immediately turns to wondering why excess mortality is up 40% since vaccine rollout! Evidently he cannot put 2 and 2 together. Mass psychosis formation anyone?
One of the things I love about our Substack community as well as the broader community of free, critical, independent thinkers around the world is we don’t take something at face value just because someone we like or trust says it. We investigate; we research; we dig in; and we corroborate, clarify, or disconfirm, and as a result, our findings are either strengthened or refined based on additional input.
THIS is what the scientific process is supposed to be.
Thank you for performing this yeoman’s work, Igor, and for helping to verify these extremely serious statistics that absolutely warrant further analysis. I wonder if there are any life insurance publications or resources that tabulate these findings on an annual basis so we could check life insurance statistics across the industry. Maybe you can look into that ;-)
