I am Having My Second COVID - 2.5 Years After the First One
An underwhelming experience compared to the first
I mentioned being “under the weather” in my last post, which I wrote a few days after a small family trip to Mexico early last week.
Last Thursday, I started wondering if my sore throat was a thing. On Friday, I experienced slightly more throat discomfort and decided to test for Covid (as I did in the past with negative results), and the result was positive.
Being a middle-aged man and having heard of and witnessed many bad Covid cases and some months-long “long Covids,” I decided not to take chances leaving Covid untreated, and I took the following medications:
I have taken the following daily since Friday evening:
1 Zinc pill
2 Vitamin C pills
About ten Vitamin D3 2000 IU
Two Ivermectins 12mg
The illness, so far, is not amounting to much. I had a fever on Friday evening, however no fever since midnight that night. So far, counting Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, it has been three days of normal temperature.
EDIT: I lost smell almost completely.
I also have a slight cough. I have no idea if I will get worse or not, knock on wood, but nothing terrible has happened so far. My fifth day of Covid is ending; it has been three days without a fever.
I kept busy, for example, weeding the garden and doing other stuff.
I am, of course, fully Covid-unvaccinated.
This may be a chance to ask people to report if they know of others getting reinfected and how bad reinfections were compared to their original cases.
My original Covid infection in Nov 2020 was much worse than this one. I did not yet, at that time, have any Ivermectin.
So, let us know if you know someone with more than one Covid infection!
And stay healthy!
Big thanks for your well wishes!!!
Many people expressed skepticism about "Covid tests". You are right to be skeptical, but...
There are two types of tests, PCR tests (done in a lab) and rapid antigen tests. PCR tests at high cycles are much more prone to false positives. The rapid tests are less prone to false positives. I used a rapid test. (I had other colds in the past 2 years, two IIRC, and the same tests were negative)
Also the health authorities are no longer interested in inflating covid numbers. Quite the opposite, actually.
Oh and I lost smell - so it is Covid.
No fever, slight cough and you are gardening. Oh the horror! This is something over which we shut down the world, suspended the Constitution and labeled as “spreaders of disease” anyone who didn’t comply with the govt’s now-debunked narrative.
