That is a rabbit-hole I have not yet hopped down, although secret societies and occult practices have long been associated with the self-described elites, and supposedly “Eyes Wide Shut” was Kubrick’s attempt to address this (I haven’t seen the film myself).

Yes I think it is likely that Kubrick did attempt to send a message with that movie (certainly his daughter has publicly said as much). The original Alex Jones video from Bohemian Grove is still out there and pretty darn weird as well.
But that stuff is sensationalist even though I suspect it's all true. Certainly Bohemian Grove is extremely well documented, and the Satanism/pedophilia/cannibalism stuff is increasingly leaking out - Jimmy Saville/Ted Heath/Epstein/Pizzagate/Balenciaga all in the last decade or so.
But at its heart Satanism is a philosophical belief system. There is a massive body of literature that stretches back to ancient times and much of it sounds very noble. However I think the fundamental flaws in the philosophy inevitably lead to corruption and it always ends up with the truly awful, lurid stuff. Many seemingly innocent, well meaning and harmless people get drawn in without understanding where it leads, or even what they are getting drawn into, or - in many cases - even believing that they are getting involved in something good and noble. Others likely think it's a joke - at least at first, and then later it's difficult to leave...
I've been down that rabbit-hole lately. It's a piece to the puzzle for sure. The philosophical foundation that required the buy in from many; the satanic take over of Hollywood and the music industry - the spell-makers - are essential to the undermining and degrading of humanity as good, to the idea of a Divine presence, and all that elevates.

Don't bother. It's disturbing and, at the same time, boring.
Far more boring than disturbing.

I didn’t find Eyes Wide Shut boring personally. It is highly sexualized but
deals with the Satanic rituals and secret societies of the Uber rich. MCM gave high marks to the movie.
I think he meant the occult rabbit hole is boring.
It is only boring if you think it is fake
