"Apart from the massacres, deaths and famines for which communism was responsible, the worst thing about the system was the official lying: that is to say the lying in which everyone was forced to take part, by repetition, assent or failure to contradict. I came to the conclusion that the purpose of propaganda in communist countries was not to persuade, much less to inform, but to humiliate and emasculate. In this sense, the less true it was, the less it corresponded in any way to reality, the better; the more it contradicted the experience of the persons to whom it was directed, the more docile, self-despising for their failure to protest, and impotent they became."
it's conditioning. every time you get up from the barstool and put on the muzzle, the less likely you are to question when someone says you have to wear it everywhere
and the emotion which is the most destructive to the immune system is shame. no wonder the yalies focused in so hard on that in the plandemic propaganda.
and then there's the kids. habituate parents to torturing their kids and they're more willing to kill them
Yes, great quote by TD, have posted that a few times myself since 2020. That self-humiliation leading to despising yourself is huge in it's effect. Which is why my wife, bless her, and I couldn't 'do' masks more than twice and then it was NO.
God bless your wife...mine too. Against all my better judgment we sent our kids to school for exactly one week where they were masked. Then we pulled them out of school and moved to Florida 2 weeks later in April of 20'. The spirit of FEAR promoted in the schools by cowardly adults was not something I was going to expose my children to.
Here's another quote you might like, that played into all the covid machinations, e.g.; anti-vaxxer/masker, safe & effective, my mask protects you, etc., etc.,:
“Lenin developed a special way of writing that made it possible to establish the ‘formula-slogan’ in the mind of the reader or listener . . . Then, as the most important compositional element, there is the use of repetition, by means of which a rectangle is formed which concentrates the attention, narrows the field of possibilities, and squeezes thought into a tight ring from which there is only one exit . . . Total power over the Word gives the Master of the Word a magical power over all communications.
Soviet speech is always a monologue because there is no other party to talk to. On the other side is the enemy. In the Soviet language there are no neutral words – every word carries an ideological burden . . . That is why in Soviet language the same words are repeated over and over again, until they become a signal that acts without any effort of thought.
The effect of set phrases and slogans is also assured by their always being repeated in absolutely the same form . . . The Soviet language became the most important means of preventing people from acquiring more knowledge than the state wished . . . Soviet speech lost its freedom. The language was put together out of slogans and quotations from the Leader [Stalin] . . . The crushing, unquestioned authority of the Leader’s word is the result to a large extent of his right and power to name the Enemy . . . The word that signifies the enemy must be striking, easy to remember, implying condemnation by its very sound, and always imprecise, so that everyone who at a given moment does not please the Leader can be included under it rubric . . ."

New to me Ryan but sadly it rings true. Good on you for protecting your kids from harm. Too many only consider physical threats/danger but I've always considered magnitudes of danger in this order - spiritual, then emotional/mental and lastly physical. I certainly don't ignore threats in the physical realm but they are a lot easier to see coming than the others.
I must confess to never studying those, like Lenin, who listen to demons - except for reading 'The Rise and Fall of the Thrid Reich'. when 15yrs old. Had read LOTR a couple years earlier and read it again after because Shirer's book explained why Tolkien felt compelled to write. I was well aware of how quick tyranny can arrive due to my dad being an insightful farmer more well-read than most white-collar types.
School was pink enough in the 70's/80's that I hated it, but now it's full on blood red. We love homeschooling our kids. Even if we didn't enjoy it there's no other option worth considering atm.
The West has worshipped and looked to secular health and education to save us but the very opposite has happened. These false gods are tumbling and crushing many beneath them as they fall.
Sadly, children are the easiest hypnotized with the party philosophy, and they were the ones who 'spied' on parents, friends, relatives, and others. Check the former countries of the Bloc for adults who are traumatized as to what they 'did' to their parents... who disappeared after they told of some minor item. Painful when you realized what you did as a child.
Sorry. Here's the quote I was talking about:

Grace, peace, and courage to you and yours!
Well said. Likewise!

Thanks for that quote, Ryan.
Yes ... so true
