Hi Nurse Nancy! On another substack post, you wrote about the phenomena of spike protein shedding from a vaxxed person onto an unvaxxed person (I think it was your partner who was vaxxed and whenever you were with him you developed Covid-like symptoms). I wanted to reply to you on that post, but couldn't. I am experiencing something similar. I am unvaxxed. My new girlfriend (we started dating last Fall) is vaxxed. In December she got the booster. We spent New Years Eve/Day together. A few days later I came down with mild Omicron symptoms and tested positive for Covid. I felt better after a few days, yet isolated for 10 days before getting together with her again. Oddly, 3 days after we got together again I experienced omicron symptoms, so I isolated myself for 10 more days until I felt better. Then we got together again (a third time since her booster) and (you guessed it) 3 days later I experienced the same symptoms again. I isolated for a week and when we got together a 4th time (since her booster), I got the same symptoms (again!)--but this time she got sick shortly with the the same omicron symptoms. I'm trying to figure out what is going on. Is she shedding protein spike on me? Or, are we infecting/re-infecting each other? Thoughts? Also, maybe Igor could weigh in on this because he has pointed out similar phenomena.
Hi Ohio Patriot! Yes we must've met at Alex Berenson. I can only guess at what may be happening for you. So sorry you are experiencing this. It's so frustrating when so much is unknown. My symptoms start 2-3 days after being with my injected partner, and it feels very. much like an early cold/flu illness. So our 3 day timing is similar. I have met with health practitioners who state they hear constant similar anecdotes about shedding. Some think that shedding lasts a similar time as antibody levels (several months). Maybe your symptoms might lessen four-six months from last jab? Is she planning any more "boosters"? In my case, it has been 9 months (partner travels often) and symptoms of shedding are still problematic. Also, I had the same experience of illness after I had a session with a triple-injected physical therapist. I'm working with a practitioner to help both me and partner maximize immunity and "kick the spike out of our systems" with various methods. Different practitioners doing different approaches. Such cases as yours could be both shedding and re-infections. As I stated above, injected persons may want to get blood work to check pre and post vax immunity via CBC with CD4 and CD8 plus a H-CRP for inflammation. Many have been alarmed to find that the injection tanked their immunity, (near HIV levels of decimated WBC including CD4 and CD8 immunity markers) but at least with knowing that, they can work to boost their immunity instead of tanking it with more ironic "boosters."
Thanks for responding. Yes, it appears our situations are almost identical. This situation has caused her to regret getting the booster, so I doubt she will get any more (which raises the question, "will they be administering 4th shots here in the U.S. anyways?"). Interestingly, she had blood work done the week before her booster and all WBC levels were normal. She's indicated she would get tested again to see what those levels are now. She's curious.
The question I have is, "other than the flare-up of flu-like symptoms, what effect does this have on unvaccinated people like you and me?"
It seems to me that, if our partners are merely shedding spike protein onto us, the effect is short term--like an allergic reaction to the presence of an antigen: once our immune system clears the antigen/spike protein, the symptoms disappear leaving us with no long term issues. From what I understand, these shedded spike proteins (generated by the mRNA vax) are not attached to a virus nor can mRNA be transmitted from one person to another. So, its not like the vaxxed person is infecting us with the Covid virus nor is it like we are in essence receiving an mRNA vaccination (with our partner being the medium by which the spike protein mRNA is injected into us rather than a syringe.)
If its reinfection, that's a slightly different issue. But it seems to me that re-infection would not necessarily cause us unvaccinated people long term issues either. If we have already had Covid, our immune system would fight off any infection before the virus could produce enough spike protein that would cause long term damage.
Thoughts? Hopefully Igor has some thoughts on this issue.
