I don’t thin Musk actually cares too much about advertising over the long term. He (allegedly - I’m not on Twitter) did a poll showing 19% of the 400million regular users would pay a user fee. If 19% pay $8/month, that’s annual revenue of over $7.2billion (zero advertising dollars). Currently Twitter looses a couple hundred million a year on $5billion in revenue, 92% from advertising. Musk is cutting employee expenses by more than half (the executives plus 50% of staff tomorrow). Even falling short of expectations, Musk has a crap ton of wiggle room to not give a damn about mega corporate ads.
Substack has been able to resist censoring because it’s subscription based. If advertisers provide Twitter’s revenue then they are the true customers. If users do they are the customers. The latter aligns the revenue stream with the actual service which I think is a more sustainable business model.
And how would you pay for a sub but remain anonymous? Payment provided identity information. So your Twitter account using an anonymous email would no longer be a viable option.
He plans to make Twitter into China’s weebo. PayPal, FB, Twitter, ID2020 all rolled up in one.
Great way to capture conservatives, and sceptics to declare you’re into free speech. Perfect for datamining those reluctant to give Big SM your data.
Beware anyone dressing up as Bephamet. (Nightmare woke me this am. Don’t run the tape with the baphomet incantation!)
I’m not particularly concerned. Unlike having to sue Meta or Twitter, there is a finite list of who could dox me on Substack, and Substack has EVERY motivation to ensure that doesn’t happen or cooperate and punish the offender if it does because the one thing that could destroy Substack is doxxing attacks on its customers.
Big Tech knows exactly who everyone is and no amount on VPNs or tracking or proton mail will block that. Employers and public schools across the country already sold out people’s DNA to China under the guise of Covid testing and every kid with TikTok the same.
I’m not on Twitter now. So long as we show up and vote next Tuesday in numbers that overcome any attempts at cheating, we won’t become China. If people use “they cheat” as an excuse to be lazy and sit at home then there is a whole different story.
If they want it , they already have your data and to probably a very fine degree. Unless I'm far wrong, here's just a sampling of what Big Tech already monitors, or can monitor, and sometimes resell (at least to some degree), totally within the law:
Your internet search history (what web sites you browse);
Monitor your "private" emails to deduce your interests for marketing purposes, but could be for much less noble purposes, such as to construct a political dossier.
Monitor and potentially censor your communications;
Provide what should be protected data to law enforcement -- even absent a court order to do so. Witness what happened with the J6 "insurrectionists." Credit card records, cell phone location data, were scanned by private corporations and suspect lists provided "pro bono" to the authorities. I can't understand why that would be legal, but apparently they get away with it.
I see what you are saying and concur however the population not using twitter feels the same way as the population using twitter they just don't sound off there.
They may be the strong silent type ( ie. flyover territory ) or they can't be bothered and or don't have the time ( me ) but feel strongly about their anti communist views. So tracking users will perhaps just give an indication of what the rest of the population is thinking and saying. So many hundreds of millions of more population to contend with if that is the China goal. The group of 300 billionaires is more of a threat then China now.
Risk/Benefit ratio as usual. "Uncensored " twitter may do more good then harm. Allows a public forum since people don't talk much in person anymore, sadly.
No matter what, if we Do Not Comply en mass, thé Evils loose.
I predict a big upswing in burner cell phone sales! Only way I got back on the platform after being kicked off 3 times (since 2009) was to use a cellphone number of a friend who was willing to let me use it.
One in the best comments. I should calculate the break even # of subscribers at $8/mo.
Why aren’t you on Twitter? Isn’t keeping the Republic worth $8/mo to you?
I’ve barely been on the Twitter until now. I have not had Blue check mark either. But I will pay whatever Musk charges. And I’ll lend my eyeballs by doing on Twitter whatever I do and can transfer there.
Join, would you please? On line is the Republic, if we can keep it
If they make it subscription based maybe, but not as long as woke lunies still there or it’s getting any significant revenue from ads. On Facebook I defended Louis DeJoy making large gifts to my alma undergrad mater. A bunch of woke professors and bored people were attacking the school (that had nothing to do with it). One of them posted my home address and asked his “friends” to harass me (they did). I reported to Facebook and Facebook’s response was to freeze my account, including blocking me from deleting it, for 24 hours.
My family was harassed, threatened, and put on a hit list. I reported to the local police, state SBI, and made complaints with every federal agency I could think of. The few that did respond told me to take it up with Facebook but yo hold onto everything because it would be helpful is we physically assaulted. Until someone got hurt they weren’t going to do anything.
Needless to say I have since deleted my Facebook. I’m not going to use a Big Tech social media anything ever again unless I am the customer. So once things actually change at Twitter I may join, but not until they do.
If Musk meets with the government misinformation/disinformation board & gives in to them even an inch I’m not going back. If he tells them to pound sand I will think about it. I left originally because it was a hatefest. I was & am very Pro Israel. Anytime I posted anything Pro Israel or Pro Jewish I got inundated with hate. So for my sanity I left. I am all for Free Speech. But I don’t have to leave myself open to hate. So I am Free not to participate in a place where I get beaten up. I left Gab for the same reason. Gab is actually worse because the owner Andrew Torba hates Jews so he enables the hate. Free Speech is a double edge sword but it beats censorship hands down.
Glad to see your initiative and dedication, but Twitter is no magic forum, and Musk is no savior. Any public board could become a working base, if people choose it. Please take a look at panquake.com, too; it could become a much more desirable alternative in a few months.
Of course Musk wants the here and now -- and we can go along if it's all we have. However, we owe the platform no loyalty if something more flexible, secure, and useful comes along.
Of course you are assuming he cares at all and is not just after the underlying tech and intellectual property he plans on using for one of his other projects.
Sadly, he's already caved, keeping his disinfo governance board and refusing to unblock anyone until after elections. He's probably under more pressure than he thought. Likely the govt is threatening to withhold the real revenue on which Twitter really runs.
Keep your eyes on privacy-focused, censorship-resistant panquake.com. After contributing to the project a couple times last year, I had given them up for dead, but they have completed initial design and coding, and have now secured beta funding. They should be ready to start testing in the next month or two. It's an ambitious and capable group, and their subscription-based model (maybe $6/mo.?) will allow them to forego advertising revenue. Hoping for the best; check out the web site.
Depends on goals. panquake is offering a model targeting the habits of internet noobs (facebook, twits, utubers al). The "one stop social network with everything in browser".
I don't see this model working for long for communities under fire by the enemy.
Instead:
>>> For private messaging, voice-chat, screensharing with friends and chatrooms, you should use a distributed peer-to-peer, free, open-source project which doesn't rely on a central committee as panquake does. Tox or maybe retroshare for this.
>>> For topical discussion in a semi-open group, use good old web forums, run by the group you decide to extend some trust to.
>>> Look into next-gen federated webs of trust. Tokenizable messages with recipients determined by subgroup. Fediverse, ipfs, etc. There is a lot of room to be a leader here.
Anything based on 'but you can trust US!' won't work, regardless whether the founders start with good intentions. The enemy prints the money; and they can dominate any network that relies on a site with staff and offices.
Yes, that is entirely true, and I appreciate the references to alternatives under development. (I haven't heard of most of them.) I've been aware of the need for an "Alternate Internet" for several years, and have been disappointed to find only very limited mesh networks in the works. Maybe some of the projects you've mentioned can offer more; I'll check.
Super wi-fi hardware is not expensive, and can provide 10-15 mile ranges with the right antennas; what's lacking is the software support.
Anyone who asks themselves "What will I do when the 'Net goes down?" will quickly grasp the scale and severity of the problem. We're toast without communication.
The problem with 'subscription based' is that, so far, we are seeing that people are more willing to pay for stories that say things they want to hear, rather then the truth. See *Bad News: How Woke Media Is Undermining Democracy * -- not that only seeing what large corporations want you to see is an improvement. It may be that Democracy was underpinned by the local advertising of small town newspapers, because small business owners actually behave like a cross-section of citizens, because that is who they are.
No one has ever tried to turn Twitter or anything like it into a subscription platform. We don’t know if it’ll work or not. Substack is doing well. It may be that people only want to pay for what they want to see, but I don’t waste my time with what Pfizer wants me to see. Why should people?
Individuals have far more diverse interests and curiosities than a handful of giant multinationals. We know what we get with ad based social medias and it’s awful. It’s a failed model. When Pfizer is the customer you can’t talk about harms from Pfizer (we’ve seen this in both traditional and social media). That applies to anything. The customer has the power.
If we want to get journalists back to 'discovering the truth and reporting about it', instead of 'being activists for some position' then removing 'being activists for large corporations' is necessary but not sufficient. The good thing about being supported by advertising revenue from Mom and Pop hardware stores, restaurants and the like is that small businesses wanted to attract customers from a broad spectrum of society. They didn't want to be niche. The subscription model is all about finding your niche and serving it well enough to be paid for it. This is all well and good when the niche is some sort of hobby or special interest. It's more difficult when what you want is 'general news without the nudging' and 'investigations into all abuses of power, whoever does it'. At least, despite there being a whole lot of us who want exactly that and would pay for it -- it hasn't miraculously driven out the activism sort in response to consumer demand.
I disagree. Mom and pop hardware shops are few and hanging on by a thread. They can’t support media - local or otherwise. The clock doesn’t get turned back. We aren’t going beck to when my Dad was a journalist in the 1970’s and local papers could actually report stories of interest accurately. He walked away from journalism all together after being offered a job by The New York Times in his late 20’s (that came with a requirement to move to NYC). The days of the poor kids growing up to be journalist were already ending then.
On average Substack and other independent writers seem to be more honest, and more willing to cite actual source documents/ data than the msm has been in my 2 decades of being an adult. It does lack the general “here is what’s going on in the world,” but perhaps that’s exactly what you could get from a subscription model at Twitter. What they are doing now doesn’t work. New leadership under the old model probably won’t either. The model is the driving force of the problem.
It’s also ok to have a lot niche in journalism. I’ve specialized in international tax for over 15 years. Even the most basic reporting on individual income taxes is the US is deeply flawed in a material way 99% of the time (unless it comes from somewhere like tax foundation). I see zero evidence it’s different in any other industry or profession. Maybe if there are more niche reporters at least some of them will have some idea what the heck they are talking about.
I don't think we disagree as much as you believe we do. What I want to do is to understand why it was possible that in the 1970s your father could actually report stories of interest accurately, what changed between then and now, and how can we build financial incentives to get more real journalism. It's not that I am against niche, it is just that the niche 'journalism like we had in the 1970s' doesn't seem to be making money for anybody right now.
A business model based on 'have the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation pay for it' will not give this to us. Having big corporations pay for it is not working either. But subscriptions haven't worked for the Athletic, and now they have ads, which is causing the people who subscribed for the ad-free experience to cancel and not renew. I see the Athletic becoming the journalistic arm of the Gambling industry, which will pay the rent, but we are back to 'you are selling my eyeballs to the real customer, when I thought I was the customer when I bought my subscription'.
I look at the writings of journalism advisor/pundits (i.e. people who advise journalists how to make money doing journalism) such as Thomas Baekdal (who is big in Europe, not so sure if he is large on your side of the pond). He has been promoting the subscription model but also promoting journalism as advocacy. He very much thinks that journalists should find out the truth and then relentlessly stuff it down a readership base that wants to be told how to think and how to feel.
There's no room for 'present the facts and let the readers decide for themselves'. And I would like there to be.
(and then gave us three beautiful Herd Culling vaccines, President Donald J. Trump signs Executive Order 13887. “Modernizing Vaccines, National Security, State of Emergency Orders, Lockdowns!)
Yay!!!!! Go Trump. You showed them. You sure did!
You still haven't admitted the jabs are killing us.
Again, worse than that. I have read accounts from Trump supporters as recently as two weeks ago where Trump is still cheering for his Warp Speed "vaccines".
I have asked Dr . Paul Alexander why he is still doing this and he replied to me and said "I don't know".
It's inconceivable that Trump is in such a bubble that he doesn't know what is going on.
Fuck that guy. And this is coming from someone who used to support him. Even though I'm not American. And I lost friends over my Trump supporting.
This site isn't playing ball right now, but somewhere between 30 and 40 minutes, they talk about how the Deep State/Establishment gets to you and you have to "make a deal".
Unwashed, Go clean up! Like everybody he has advisors where he is not well versed. He cannot know Medicine unless he is an MD, DO. So he relies on the Head of CDC , NIH, HHS. All liars and thieves.
Impossible for him to know they were lying to him and all Deep State and playing him regarding immunology. When he did get wind of it he brought in the new Dr from Stamford that knew what was up. Good for Trump for doing that. By then it was too late for the order for the vaccine Fraudci and CEOs pushed him into at the meeting. See video of the meeting. Trump wanted to help and help fast. He does not understand medical research and nor should he. He is a Businessman. An individual cannot be all things.
For heavens sake people, this should be obvious. FJB does not know 1 thing. Not even business. Nor G Bush, nor Clinton. Least Trump knew something.
Trump refused to appoint Paul Craig Roberts as his chief of staff. Jared Kushner and Joel Skousen types told him not to. Nevertheless, whatever ignorance he pleads was wilful.
I am with you on Trump still supporting the vaxx. And I never voted for Trump. I’d rather Trump admitted and apologized and, at the very least, stopped pushing vaxx.
Yet, have you noticed that no politician ever admits making mistakes no matter how small? Why is that I wonder?
That said if I have a choice between someone who
1. exposed every Republican/Conservatives/pro-freedom for the RINOs they are AND
2. after 40 years and hundreds of billions wasted on war for the energy independence made it happen with ease and no money in two years exposing incompetence and corruption
….
n. Accomplished what no one thought possible peace and cooperation between Muslims and Jews in the Middle East
This country is facing life threatening problems. Despite all the enthusiasm about DeSantis and a few others, I don’t see a single other individual capable of taking on these problems but Trump.
"Now Musk is exposing major corporations for who they are."
Musk is "one of them". Do not fall for his lies. He's a major US defense contractor, a scam artist, a Ponzi scheme runner and an advocate of the "Green" agenda and transhumanism.
Worse than that, the idea that he is a "genius" is ridiculous.
He wanted to change the name of PayPal to X-Payments or some such BS. He went on his honeymoon and got ousted by his board in a coup because they couldn't stand his incompetence.
And the chief couper(?) was...Peter Thiel, who is another "Libertarian" NWO scumbag, who just happens to be gay! Hurray for diversity or something.
This website appears to be run by looney Californian-style "liberals", and they take Tesla and Musk down piece by piece (this was back in the day when looney Californian-style "liberals" should have been Musk fans). This is a meticulously sourced document of all the crimes Musk has committed in regards to Tesla and Solar City. It's a long read but worth it.
This is the next big one to discuss with the public. Parents and grandparents are against ID2020 and programmable CBDCs. They mostly want to keep anonymous cash. Mostly? The under 30’s see no issues with phone for payments as don’t ever even carry cash.
No boot sales (garage sale sites)
No babysitter payments
No cheaper deals for cash
No change given so no understanding of costs/value
No meat
No marriage
Digital NHS care at home.
Digital GP appointments.
I’m discussing above with public now. Sadly I’ve given up on telling them about C19 v except how to make humanised mice (whole baby ab’tions) and live calf cell extraction. Christians don’t like that. Nor re-education of sexuality in pre-school/elementary.
Talk to everyone unless you think they may be a lost cause: militant Leftie look.
I know two young men under 30. One is college educated; he's prone to doing things like phone transfers and such, but does realize the dangers of CBDC. I think he's open to all cash.
His brother is younger and married with a child. He doesn't even have a bank account-- and no credit cards-- and does all transactions in cash. I also believe that the liquor store where he works also deals in cash only. He may be the exception, but there are young people out there that are content to exist out of the system.
Novelty huckster is quite apt. He tried to shill a taxpayer-funded boondoggle of pressurized underground tubes for transport -- in earthquake-prone california no less.
Personally I would never be involved with a platform that censors content. I’m not scared of information be it mis, dis, true or false. I take everything on its merits. Sure I get somethings wrong, somethings right. I think. I don’t actually know because no one does. It makes for a colourful existence. I don’t understand why people are so afraid of the chance of being misinformed? That’s life. But it seems to be the cardinal sin of our age.
Good perspective. I don’t really think people are afraid of being misinformed. I think people who are misinformed are being told they should be fearful. This is just one more thing to fear. Control, by whatever means necessary. Fear works, and they use fear to justify their other tools, which (in part) are censorship and brainwashing.
Patrick, I think those with an anti-life, pro-tyranny agenda are the ones afraid that they will be exposed and will continue to do what it takes to squash any exposing of the agenda. We need to really vigilant right now for a new black swan something to come along in the next few weeks especially if there is a red wave.
I agree. In fact we should count on it. When the grip that fear has had on the great unwashed began to loosen, the globalists stooges began to panic. As you point out, a cornered snake can be dangerous. They will stop at nothing.
I suggest we be praying for Elon's protection and the protection of his industrial plants. If these villains who were willing to use hundreds of thousands of useful idiots to kill millions around the world with an injectable poison, nothing is too far fetched.
Rewatch the wonderful movie Mr Smith Goes to Washington (especially the last 15 minutes) to see a low level version of "all the stops being removed" when criminality is confronted by a man of truth.
Misinformation today becomes the truth tomorrow, as many conspiracy theories have proven to be. Be prepared to take everything with a grain of salt and use critical thinking. Otherwise, we are turning into a Soviet type of dictatorship where it was decided for you what to think and how to live your lives. Those of us who escaped from behind the iron curtain cannot believe our eyes how quickly this country turned into the intellectual GULAG. We know what inevitably comes next. And all it took is a virus or flu. This article just adds more evidence to the idea that our democracy with all freedoms it warrantied turned out to be a colossus on clay feet, sorry to say.
Money matters little to these corporations. Something even bigger is going on behind close doors, I fear.
Unless I missed it, did any auto manufacturers raise a peep when California and NY moved to ban gas-powered vehicles? I Awfully strange, no? Two of the largest states in the US apparently knee-cap your business and all we get from them is a big "meh."
In terms of a “unification theory” that explains all the apparent craziness around us this hypothesis seems to best fit the evidence. I would revise slightly to say that the elite see that if they do nothing there will be a chaotic collapse so they are trying to orchestrate a controlled demolition instead.
Just to bring this down to a short point, I have read that calling the resource ‘fossil fuel’ is a misnomer & that we have an almost unlimited supply of it. The so called shortage is like all the other manufactured shortages we are hearing about to force us into The New Green Deal. Certainly windmills & solar are not going to do the job. We have a windmill farm near where I live & sometimes half the windmills are not functioning. They are not biodegradable. They are a joke. Solar isn’t doing the job here either & we have probably 350 sunny days year.
I agree with you completely. As I stated in a previous comment I live near one of these ridiculous unproductive eyesore windmill farms. It has been here for years, before Biden, before Trump. Your comment regarding the 5th column of agents of foreign entities, etc working in collaboration with enemies of the United States doesn’t, in my estimation quite hit the mark. One of those enemies resides in the Oval Office & he has plenty of accomplice’s right here in the United States government. If one wanted to destroy the United States, how would you go about it differently? Economically, Socially, aiding and abetting an invasion into the country, weakening the Military, draining our Strategic Oil Reserve, etc.
Well, windmills and solar are not the answer, even if what you say is true. Nuclear power is probably a much better option, and power plants can be much smaller & not as dangerous as they once were.
We badly need a Nuremberg 2.0! We must stop these amoral types in Pfizer and the Dems or they will make this world even more of a living hell than it already is!!!!
Well, even long before the current fraud of the germ and the remedy (the v) folks who spoke out against the standard dietary advice, which relies very much on highly processed grains, had to be careful what they said else they would get censored. Not nearly as bad as with the current germ stuff, but it was alive and well. Dr. Tim Noakes in S Africa nearly had his license revoked because, as I understand it, he suggested a mom on social media feed her infant things like boiled egg and avocado instead of rice and oats. Dr Gary Fetke in Australia had to defend his medical license after he started telling diabetic patients to stop eating grains/carbs and replace with healthy, natural fats. Turns out the Adventist Church owns much of the processed grain manufacturing (cereal companies) in Australia, along with the dietitian associations both here in US and there. They couldn’t have a doctor making his patients well (reversing their diabetes, avoiding amputations for non-healing, gangrenous wounds) if it cost the m their cereal revenues.
And no , this is not a diss on religion. It IS a true statement of fact regarding how much control certain entities exercise over what we the people are permitted to know and to hear. 😠
Knowing the story about doctors Noakes and Fetke from pre-corona times primed me and had my mind open to look deeply and with critical eyes and skepticism into the development of the covid story.
When my husband started to dig and find out that we were experiencing a plandemic, I saw it exactly as that.
I thank God that he allowed us to have skepticism, because of what we had experienced and learned in the heart disease/diet sphere.
As crappy as it was/is to have to deal with heart disease, (consequence of bad diet advice for decades; but led us eventually to the LCHF community) we thankfully knew to be at least skeptical of what we were hearing. Praise God - that caution kept us from jumping on the injection bandwagon. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 And had allowed us to hear alternative viewpoints about the nature of the infection as well.
Interesting info, thanks. I fixed my pre-diabietes cutting out the grains and carbs. Anyone getting in my way of that will learn what a health hazard is.
[EDIT] Neither Christ nor Old Testament told us to have 'churches'. These are institutions of men, and corruptible/corrupted.
As always to study the word of God, we have to consider context and proper translation.
The greek ἐκκλησία used here is properly translated as 'assembly'.
1577 ekklēsía(from 1537 /ek, "out from and to" and 2564 /kaléō, "to call") – properly, people called out from the world and to God, the outcome being the assembly (the mystical body of Christ) – i.e. the body of believers whom God calls out from the world and into His eternal kingdom.
[The English word "church" comes from the Greek word kyriakos, "belonging to the Lord" (kyrios).
This is one of several passages which was mistranslated by the subverters of the scripture, to justify formation of institutions of men, which are an object and target of secular power struggles.
At no point did the christ or the old testament advocate or sanction worldly institutions clothing themselves in the raiments of scripture.
The Medieval Roman Catholic Church purposely misinterpreted this passage, in conjunction with unprovable claims concerning the apostle Peter and the first Christian assemblies in Rome, in order to create the authority that it claimed so that it could rule over Christendom. Christ is not saying here that Peter was the bedrock upon which the ekklesia – the body of true Christians in the world – was founded. Rather, Christ was telling Peter that while he had known this remarkable truth – which is that Yahshua was indeed that Christ promised by the Word of God through so many ancient prophets – Peter was nevertheless only a stone, and that His ekklesia would be founded on bedrock – something much greater than a stone. This is the difference between the Greek words petros and petra which many commentators miss, and especially those who are Romish church apologists. Peter was called a petros, which is a stone. Christ said that His ekklesia would be founded upon petra, which is the large rock of the earth which we would best describe as bedrock. Therefore Peter continues the analogy, and confirms its appropriate interpretation, where in his first epistle at 2:5 he tells us that “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house....”
I'll add that Peter himself shows he understood the disctinction the Christ made when addressing his audence (of uncircumcised unbelievers) as each being also a little stone (petros). Note that at this time they were not in the faith. Which is another indication that they were *of* a holy people, set aside by yaweh, by birthright.
Anyone who wants to understand where the coordinated leverage comes from, this documentary will be very eye-opening: https://stopworldcontrol.com/monopoly/
Yes, I saw that documentary. I was amazed how calm he was when explained what these wacko globalists want to do. I would have been foaming at the mouth.
And so the 'war' of who has the mightiest pen continues.
Will the legacy media be stupid(?), arrogant(?), woke(?) enough to proudly broadcast their enthusiastic support of these pro-free speech advertisers? I sure hope so. The arrogance of the woke media is now so disconnected from reality that likely they will assume that their audience won't see that this is blackmail, and against free speech.
As el gato likes to say, with popcorn crunching cats: let us watch and see.
Thank you, Igor.
P.S.: So funny that the brain sweats with science helping it. A meme version of a Freudian slip?
Yes. It is sobering. From my research this has been a long term action, begun by the Fabians at least a hundred years ago with their intention to 'brainwash' people into right thinking by taking over the school systems. Today's woke structure within formal education is concomitant with the joy of censorship as a proper expression of democracy and equality. OMG! Such twisted thinking is amazing to consider, and yet here we are, living it.
Here is an interesting discussion on eugenics, the Fabians, and its presence in our social structures, such as the UN, and in our societal unconscious. Jordan Peterson and Alex Storey talk about the roots of eugenics, the Fabians, and the possibility of an eugenics agenda within the foundation of the UN via Maynard Keynes, president of the British Eugenics society for 6 years.
"will further toxify our information ecosystem and be a direct threat to public safety, especially among those already most vulnerable and marginalized."
Information ecosystem? That's a doozy. And exactly who is the most vulnerable and marginalized in this information ecosystem? Please clue me in.
I think if someone ran a few FOIA against the HHS, DHS, FBI, CDC for all government communications with “Accountable Tech” you'd find some very interesting steering directions. And THEY say there is no Deep State...
What a shame. I used to love going to @Pfizer on Twitter and laughing at the expert trolling on their self-adulatory tweets. It wasn't enough to make me want an account but it was funny as hell to take a peek at how people blew them up routinely.
First Trump exposed the mainstream media for who they are.
Now Musk is exposing major corporations for who they are.
I am paying attention.
It's hard to imagine Musk and his people didn't plan for this kind of thing from the beginning.
And doesn't everybody expect him to make some changes to how Twitter does business?
In the short term, running fewer ads might help lure back users. Nobody likes ads.
Things like this will https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1588486294153592834
And how would you pay for a sub but remain anonymous? Payment provided identity information. So your Twitter account using an anonymous email would no longer be a viable option.
He plans to make Twitter into China’s weebo. PayPal, FB, Twitter, ID2020 all rolled up in one.

The great resist is here. Join us.
I hope someone explains the testing/DNA/ China topic to me. Or post a link. I'm actually not being skeptical; rather just ignorant!
I'm skeptical. Maybe that's a NC thing.
I meant not skeptical of the "testing/DNA/China" relationship. I am skeptical of the govt/NIH/health cabal!
If they want it , they already have your data and to probably a very fine degree. Unless I'm far wrong, here's just a sampling of what Big Tech already monitors, or can monitor, and sometimes resell (at least to some degree), totally within the law:
Your internet search history (what web sites you browse);
Monitor your "private" emails to deduce your interests for marketing purposes, but could be for much less noble purposes, such as to construct a political dossier.
Monitor and potentially censor your communications;
BWR,
I see what you are saying and concur however the population not using twitter feels the same way as the population using twitter they just don't sound off there.
Twitter isn't anonymous! They demand a real cell phone number.
How horrible! I don't blame you.
I am sorry for what happened to you and understand your decision.
Btw, the way I understand it, Twitter will not be fee-based. In the particular case, Twitter would charge for being a verified user.
If you wish, you may remain anonymous.
I left Twitter 3 years ago. I’m not going back until I see how this plays out?
https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1588486294153592834
I did not realize that government misinformation/disinformation board is reality. Are you sure?
Glad to see your initiative and dedication, but Twitter is no magic forum, and Musk is no savior. Any public board could become a working base, if people choose it. Please take a look at panquake.com, too; it could become a much more desirable alternative in a few months.
I’ll look. For as much as I wish this, it will take panquake more than a few months if not years to reach 400 million eyeball pairs.
If there was a way to create a competitive to Twitter platform, would one of the most successful entrepreneurs spend $44 bln?
Of course Musk wants the here and now -- and we can go along if it's all we have. However, we owe the platform no loyalty if something more flexible, secure, and useful comes along.
You don't want one site, under one management, with 400 million eyeball pairs.
What REALISTIC better options do you suggest?"
Saving our Republic is dependent upon people joining Twitter?!
Part of certainly. Would you agree that Saving our Republic is impossible without free speech?
Of course you are assuming he cares at all and is not just after the underlying tech and intellectual property he plans on using for one of his other projects.
App X
Yes, I have read about this.
Sadly, he's already caved, keeping his disinfo governance board and refusing to unblock anyone until after elections. He's probably under more pressure than he thought. Likely the govt is threatening to withhold the real revenue on which Twitter really runs.
That fact check of the white house yesterday hardly seems like he’s caved imo. While I too am skeptical, I rejoined twitter and remain hopeful.
To confirm your bias 😉 (though in my research I do the opposite, I am a sucker for confirmations 😁)
https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1588486294153592834
We’ll see.
Not sure your understanding of reality is correct. Give the man a bit time, would you?
Little something to counter your bias: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1588486294153592834
NCmom,
Very astute and well put.
Thank you.
Usenet?
I was on it before the eternal september :)
The OLPC project was making mesh-capable cheap laptops but stopped for some reason.
Also look into lora, lorawan and freifunk. https://freifunk.net/en/what-is-it-about/
Get something do-able going with some people local to you.
Make a list of every firm part of this. We as consumers ultimately control them
For the time being, the moneyprinters ultimately control you.
He sure showed them!
Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trump. 😂
Go Elon!
Surely you aren't CIA!

Hero Ball. People want to believe that someone is out there and will save them.
People just want to have hope. It may be a placebo. But it gives them something to focus on and so what if it's the Wilson volleyball in Castaway?
This site isn't playing ball right now, but somewhere between 30 and 40 minutes, they talk about how the Deep State/Establishment gets to you and you have to "make a deal".
https://delingpole.podbean.com/e/jennifer-arcuri/
Start at 20 minutes, this interview will blow your brains out.
Delingpole is a decent guy but he's n00b, and kind of a ponce. Good guests, sometimes.
He’s just a mixed bag, Trump. Even those of us who backed him had to know he was a flawed guy.
A good thing baboon.
"Now Musk is exposing major corporations for who they are."
Musk is "one of them". Do not fall for his lies. He's a major US defense contractor, a scam artist, a Ponzi scheme runner and an advocate of the "Green" agenda and transhumanism.
tldr; Musk is Globalist scum.
Yup. The Laser Pointer is undefeated.
Musk made his entire rise to fame based on CIA (INQTel) investment.
He fronts for the Military. All of his companies.
And now Twitter.
The Laser Pointer is undefeated.
https://sagehana.substack.com/p/sage-insufferable-edgelord-friday
Worse than that, the idea that he is a "genius" is ridiculous.
He wanted to change the name of PayPal to X-Payments or some such BS. He went on his honeymoon and got ousted by his board in a coup because they couldn't stand his incompetence.
And the chief couper(?) was...Peter Thiel, who is another "Libertarian" NWO scumbag, who just happens to be gay! Hurray for diversity or something.
https://www.plainsite.org/realitycheck/tsla.pdf
This website appears to be run by looney Californian-style "liberals", and they take Tesla and Musk down piece by piece (this was back in the day when looney Californian-style "liberals" should have been Musk fans). This is a meticulously sourced document of all the crimes Musk has committed in regards to Tesla and Solar City. It's a long read but worth it.
This is but the tip of the iceberg.
🎯GREAT...FEW WORDS AND LOTS OF MEANING!
accountable tech is a weapon in the rollout of the un2030 agenda. first corporations get a social credit score. then we do.
of course, we could say no.
I say HELL, NO.
Accountable Tech sounds to me like another arm of Blackrocks ESG.
It will take a huge number of people to say no and accept whatever consequences they have planned. I hope that could happen but I don’t think it will.
Then let the dogs out...
Whoop. WHOOP!
WOOF!
Lions is biiig and kick some butt, but us dooogs, we sneaky and fast...
Beasty Boys Song CUE...
Whatever that means, it’s probably what they want to happen 😆
Not me and my crew. When they let US out, the Bad Guys gonna cry. ^_^

Thats interesting. I thought most "young" people preferred going cashless.
I'll have to run by the state liquor store and see if they take payments other than cash. I doubt the workers have any say in that.
This is a small, indie liquor store; first it was run by ethnic Russians, and was sold to Indians.
It's a speakeasy? :) Why you may need to name the State where located for businesses whose regulation varies so much by State.
I hope Musk stands firm, but frankly he strikes me as a novelty huckster with fluid principles. I’m not pinning my hope on him.
Well, he did have a thing w/Amber Heard. She is a bonafide psycho.
Novelty huckster is quite apt. He tried to shill a taxpayer-funded boondoggle of pressurized underground tubes for transport -- in earthquake-prone california no less.
Cue The Simpsons 'MONORAIL!' song.
Yes.
Black swan(S)
I suggest we be praying for Elon's protection and the protection of his industrial plants. If these villains who were willing to use hundreds of thousands of useful idiots to kill millions around the world with an injectable poison, nothing is too far fetched.
Yeah. Absolutely nothing would surprise me at this point. Especially since they're in cover up mode now.
Rewatch the wonderful movie Mr Smith Goes to Washington (especially the last 15 minutes) to see a low level version of "all the stops being removed" when criminality is confronted by a man of truth.
Yup. Well said!
Basically make people slaves...in one form or another.
Which platforms are you involved in?
Mostly just here. I track some rumble contributors and occasionally telegram, but I haven’t posted, just comments.
Telegram censors
That’s what I heard. I don’t go there much after finding Substack. Love the thoughtful writing and respectful dialog.
It’s not even particularly secret. Read up on 4IR and follow some rabbit trails.
Yes, indeed. The revolution is underway.
Pfucking Pfizer!
Thanks Igor... now I know why Musk is caving to grievance groups.
Musk is an operator. NEVER trust that boot.
We badly need a Nuremberg 2.0! We must stop these amoral types in Pfizer and the Dems or they will make this world even more of a living hell than it already is!!!!
I think amoral gives them too much credit. I would go for “sociopathic” or even “malevolent”
Diabolical. My go-to.
No we don't. The lies go back well before 2020. To Nuremberg and beyond!
Pfizer, yeah... And who gave the ingredient list to Pfucking Pfizer? DARPA.
Beware of Big Food and Big Pharma!!
Yes!
Leyla you give me hope I will find a woman as good as you.
Actually, Audi, GM, Volkswagen pulling ads is ok because they don't want to send money to a direct competitor - Tesla.
He was sedated. (j/k)
LOL. Maybe.
Maybe the BEST doc I've ever seen, really well done. Brilliant. Strongly recommend it, it's an education.
If you don't see the world control in 1933 you can't see the world control in 2022
Thank you for sharing. It was the BEST documentary I have seen. I have shared it wide.
It would be SO EPIC if Elon permanently banned Pfizer. He’d have my full respect then!
The fact that the majority are happy in censorious twitter-land is sobering.
I'm afraid the jabs weren't bad enough.

Except this is a program for dysgenics, not eugenics. Don't get spun.
Coudenhove-Kalergi plan is one name for it, but the same people did the same thing to Rome, to Spain, to Vienna.
Took me a couple of decades of free time to piece it together so don't feel bad if it sounds like martian talk.
Interesting idea. It doesn't sound like martian talk. I'll give this some thought and time to digest. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Historically speaking, the side that is for censorship, have never been the good guys.
"will further toxify our information ecosystem and be a direct threat to public safety, especially among those already most vulnerable and marginalized."
Information ecosystem? That's a doozy. And exactly who is the most vulnerable and marginalized in this information ecosystem? Please clue me in.
"Toxify" is a green magick spell. (Not a real word.) Whence come these "That Hideous Strength" wackos?

I think if someone ran a few FOIA against the HHS, DHS, FBI, CDC for all government communications with “Accountable Tech” you'd find some very interesting steering directions. And THEY say there is no Deep State...
I knew there was a Deep State since I watched "Yes, Minister" on BBC in the '80s. Best show.
What a shame. I used to love going to @Pfizer on Twitter and laughing at the expert trolling on their self-adulatory tweets. It wasn't enough to make me want an account but it was funny as hell to take a peek at how people blew them up routinely.
