The emails were overwhelming me too. I downloaded the substack reader and it allows you to turn the email notifications off. Now I just go to the reader and scroll through when I have a chance and I don’t receive the emails any longer. Just a tip in case this would be helpful.
I have substack reader and am subscribed to quite a few publications… but don’t see how to limit the email notifications—ie: to only read them on the reader ap??
Click on the person outline in the bottom right corner of screen on the reader. Then click on the gear symbol. Then go notifications. It gives you the option to turn on the feature to prevent duplicate notifications. It stops the emails.
I was answering you but it has already been answered. In your profile you can go to tools and decide what gets emailed (if anything) and what does not. Enjoy!
I find myself in a bind getting so many Substack emails and clearly don’t have the time to read them all especially when I look at all comments which pull me into conversations some very bright and committed people (some who are reading this). Switching to the App reader and turning off the email notifications would certainly lighten my reading load, but fear I would miss catching some of favorites. But still its less spent on Facebook Twitter and other Big Brother sewer holes. For someone who likes to read the truth Substack is a god send.
I know we can't be "bought", but after following this thread, I'm thinking there's a business opportunity to monetize some sort of information nexus from all the stacks'. It'd be nice to customize how much content and what type you get from each stack in one place. Make the "starburst" more navigable and "plus-up" the value (both to subscriber and author). A rising tide with emergent properties that could more efficiently connect people, ideas and ACTION.
Please follow all of them!

Yes, for the same reason.
Doubly true of politicians IN diapers! Very prescient of Mr. Twain...
He didn't account for face DiApErS!
Or maybe he did?...

Retweeting too!

Thank you for keeping me! I have not unsubscribed from anyone, but cannot keep up with every post due to having a lot going on.

The Substack Reader is the only effective way to use Substack if you subscribe to many. Highly recommended.
Ooo thanks for the tip!

I have the same problem, lots of subscriptions to great or important people, no time to read it all.

My problem too! I usually read all of them including your substack on friday nights and weekend
Yes. Thanking God for Substack daily.
You can also sort the emails into a separate folder. That's what I do.
Share how, please
It really depends on what email client you are using. Look for a "filter" function.
I’ve downloaded the app. Very user friendly and you don’t get your inbox bombarded
did you give up on Gato? He's sharp
Who’s GVB please?
Geert Vanden Bossche, Belgian scientist sounding a very urgent alarm about the colossal error of mass vaccinating into a pandemic ...
he "started" it all imo

He's one of the "Captains" on Team Reality; Good Versus Bad (GVB). Anathema to our enemy the DGB
Thank you. I thought so but for whatever reason couldn’t find in search
