He was interviewed by a foreign correspondent (either Italian or Spanish), and he bragged that he had the ability to insert and change a virus without leaving a "signature."

Why would a therapeutic need 'no-see-um' insertions? No reason of course.

Bioweapon, yes.

They've been doing it more or less 'out in the open' after all.

In the US, "under oath" means nothing.

Lots of people have lied under oath and had no pushback. So really, if you have the right connections, you can lie under oath and it's not a problem. LOTS of higher ups in the government do it now.
