The whole idea of trusting an anonymous mass of strangers with the responsibility for the health of the vulnerable is idiotic to begin with.
The motivation behind the mask mandates never was the protection of the elderly but psychological warfare, blackmailing people into compliance, create a public mood of permanent emergency, deprive the free and self-thinking people of their freedom.

I mentioned to one of the fully masked workers at the local library yesterday that masks don't do anything, and he was about to counter that but change his mind. As Steve Kirsch has shown repeatedly they don't do anything. In a hospital masks do have a function especially during operations, so that large amounts of spit, or other human generated infectious material does not get spread.
I'm batting zero trying to convince other people. Also kids some kids want to keep wear masks, or when asked say that they are waiting to see what other kids do. Don't they know how deleterious to mental health the wearing of masks are?
I'm wondering about how many lung conditions will be caused by inhaling fibers (synthetic or natural) along with whatever dye, soap, fabric softener, etc, etc, for two entire years is gonna do to these mask adherents.
Some of them are so brain washed, it'll probably take a doctor and a diagnoses of some disease to get them to stop. But really, people like that have bigger problems coming for them on the horizon.
The consequences of that gene therapy experiment will be seen for years.
As of tomorrow in NY State masks are no longer required for K-12. People shouldn't be celebrating this they should be incensed at how these kids have been brutalized over the past two years- many are.
A friend sent this to me yesterday. The principal from a local high school in NY sent this note to all parents. I see it as the manipulative, enabling ravings of a hypochondriac which perpetuate the psychological trauma through the "voice of compassion and understanding" and panders to parents who remain superstitiously attached to having a cloth diaper over their child's breathing apparatus as a health intervention.
Instead of reassuring the kids there is nothing to fear, there never was, we get crap like this:

I am sure that we all are experiencing many emotions right now. Some may be feeling relief, some may be feeling anxiety and some of us quite frankly simply don't know what to feel.
This journey from pandemic nightmare to endemic reality has been so very long. And, we simply do not know what the future holds. But we do know that our _______ community has been intentional, caring, understanding and loving. We have not had any school related outbreaks. We have supported our students and staff who have contracted COVID and all have returned to our community with physical health and emotional support.
Our community has been diligent about symptom screening and staying home when necessary. We are so grateful and we will continue to do so. We also will continue on-site testing and will encourage 3 feet social distancing. We have plenty of N95 masks for all students and staff, should you choose to continue to wear a mask at school.

Making mask wearing optional has helped me distinguish between the freedom-loving people and the sheep. Where I live in California, 95% of the adults are still wearing masks inside. We've got a long way to go here.
I live in California (Bay Area) and although masking requirement has been dropped, well over 50% of people continue to wear them. We live in our own parallel reality. I personally prefer raw dogging oxygen.
At least in other places, the lunacy is slowly going away. Here, in Western Australia, the emperor, sorry, premier has decreed that level 2 restrictions will be in place from Thursday. This means that all kids year 3 and up will be required to wear a mask for 7-8 hours a day. All this is backed up by yep, you guessed it - SCIENCE. Never mind that NSW will drop all masking from this week (to the fury of the health officials). The saddest part is that there so many hypochondriacs that never want this to end. The NSW premier was called everything from murderer to psychopath by the Masks or We all Die brigade. To make matters worse, the media is all in as well. Being a numbers person (I do data analytics for cyber sec) life feels like a never ending bad episode of some post apocalyptic world. Still, many thanks for the writeup - it gives me some hope for the long term.
