Without anti-vaxxers, another few hundred million would have been murdered.

Sadly we could only limit the damage. 7 billion people took multiple experimental shots. The future does not bode well for them.

They were aiming for 7.5 billion. Maybe only 'got' in reality about 5.5 billion. But don't worry, that's plenty of kill rate. Also drop in fertility over time. And then they can charge you to have a designer baby created for you, reward/punish. Just another arrow in their quiver of control methods...

Poetic justice if you ask me. I have no sympathy for people like this anymore plus feel a need to distance myself from them. Had to do the same thing with my immediate family 40 years ago and due to addiction. Both parents and aunts lives ended tragically, and all of their own making and denial.

I think it’s closer to 5.5 billion as of March 2023. Per The NY Times. Still a ton of very damaged people.

It looks like about 30% of those 5.5 billion received a shot without any mRNA-containing LNP. That doesn't mean that those shots were completely innocuous, nor even that they were necessarily injurious, but it's probable that many, if not all, were indeed harmful, and anyone that allowed themselves to be injected, if they have survived this far, should be keeping a close watch on their health.

Is it too callous to conclude that those people are lost, there's nothing we can do about them, it's time for us to move on and get on with trying to save ourselves?

It's a similar thing with those (too many, alas) who voluntarily wear medical masks as an infection mitigation strategy, anywhere, but particularly outdoors, under bright sunlight, etc. Those people are damaged, probably irreparably so. They are pitiable, to be sure, but beyond that it is difficult to see what else I should try to do with them.

Regrettably I have to admit you're right. Besides, the good and just have nothing to do with the nice.

It is clear that you are sympathetic, benevolent, and caring. I cannot see what more should or could be humanly given or expected, under the circumstances. I can sense your heart is heavy, but you are most correct and I agree with you.

where is the 7 billion number from?

SteelJ's avatar

Ignore that number. With a global population of 8 billion, which includes many young children and lightly vaxxed areas like Africa, it doesn't compute at all. Even if you have no faith in anyone's published numbers, you know it's way less than 7 billion.

Our World In Data (ourworldindata.org/covid-vaccinations) shows 5.6 billion having at least 1 dose but that is low compared to other sources. Somewhere between 6-7 billion out of the 8 billion people on the planet have been injected.
