As prof. Desmet stated, intelligence does not protect you from being susceptible to fraud. Also, yesterday I've learned from this video that "nudge units" carefully crafted their messaging based on early 2020 psychological experiments: https://youtu.be/WKT2IcSaG6M

Not surprising. The mental manipulation is exquisite.

Depends on your background. I came from a vastly different society. Communism taught people to question everything and trust nothing. Never thought it would come in that handy. I could see the red flags of manipulation a mile away. People here in OZ bought it like there was no tomorrow and thought I was a conspiracy theorist. They still do.

Indeed it does. I truly do not recognize much of the US from how it was. We've gone from rugged individual to the collective and after tonight's speech heading for the Borg.

I have been to the US multiple times and the decline was obvious in the early 2000's - Baltimore was really shocking. However, I could not imagine that things would reach the current state. 10 years ago I would have dismissed the break up of the US into multiple loose federations as nonsense. Now I am not sure - the country really seems to be bitterly divided with the West and East coast going to communism and the rest trying to keep some form of sanity.

So sad and so true. I really don't understand how the entire west coast became so anti American, but it did hook line and sinker. We have taken so much for granted here, and bit by bit it is being taken away. The current mess here is unbelievable, and continuing to degrade further. It's sad to see in real time.

The problem is that there is no other real alternative. In the past one would flee communism to the West. Now it looks like one needs to flee to places like Serbia, Croatia, Hungary or Russia to get some measure of sanity. Never thought it would come to that.

My hope is that the massive influx of Latinos will steer the ship back to safe waters. Most are conservative and do not go for communism. DeSantis's background is the reason why he is going all out against the rest. He KNOWS the reality of the communist "paradise".

Yeah. I've thought of relocating to one of those countries but it's not realistic. I hope you're right. Wouldn't that be a hoot if the majority of those coming here didn't go the way expected by tptb. I appreciate DeSantis, he's refreshing. Wish there were more governors like him.

I can't imagine what living under communism was like Miko but since 2020 it's been somewhat easier :(

Reading "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" when I just 15 set me up early to suspect hidden agendas and question any narrative that isn't making sense.

Then working 10yrs in another country with a very different culture taught me more of the absolute danger of assuming anything or taking reports and MSM at face value.

Basically learnt by getting burnt :)
