This go round it's hard to hide it: it's a crappy cold. My youngest brother had the same scratchy throat I had, tested: negative. I tested positive and it went from there. But I do not know personally one vaxxed person who got ba5 like we had it. I do know several unvaxxed who've had it just this past month. My point is the death rates should be higher here in Maryland due to covid, covid deaths, given the higher case rate, but we're not seeing it.
this is with rapid tests isn't it? fwiw my personal story is myself (0 jabs) and my wife (2 jabs) got it a few months ago, about 4 months after her 2nd jab. absolutely identical symptoms (3 days of fever, sore throat, headaches, muscle aches) almost the same.time (she was 1 day behind me).
my rapid test showed strong positive , hers negative. go figure.
it's of course anecdotal, that's why data analysis and control groups are needed, but huge swath of control nonjabbed group was wiped out with mandates (by design imo)
at any rate - many thanks to Igor and others on team Reality for continuing to dig...
That's very interesting. We got ours at a family reunion two weeks ago. Husband and I are the only symptomatic ones, at least with more than a mild sore throat. Our experiences sound like yours. We're the only two out of 15 family members to test positive. The rest felt "off" but tested negative. All rapid tests. The vector was probably a bartending unvaxxed niece from Key West. She sequestered for a day off the airplane. Still I managed to catch it then infect hubby.
The worst part was being told by family I should have taken the shots. No thanks, I'll take my chances. Ivm seemed to help a lot.

would be fun if the jabs were interfering with rapid tests. No idea if it's even feasible (not my area) but still ....
