Total cholesterol means absolutely NOTHING. cholesterol is there in the circulatory systems for protection. Like a fireman at a fire. They didn’t start it—but fight it. As we age we need more cholesterol for our brains. Our body makes it. It’s isn’t like a clogged pipe. I told the last doc when she said oh no your cholesterol is over 200 —good. I need it at 74. Of course small particle ldl is not good but there are tests to check. Your HDl snd triglycerides ratio gives a clue on that. You probably know all this but it’s easy to climb on this particular soap box for me. 🤪🤔

I know some of that, but not as much as you. Thanks for the info. My daughter was an ER nurse and told me to get off statins years ago when I was having alot of muscle pain and malaise. Now I read all of the side effects of everything I take. Trying to go natural supplements. But that's expensive too when insurance doesn't pay for that stuff 😕
