Since everyone around me is triple and quadruple jabbed, I'm sure they will be happy that I got this sick so that they can say I should have gotten jabbed to reduce the severity. Not looking forward to the I told you so conversations.
I've had two nasty cases of covid. Second was this past July at a family reunion. One of my vaxxed brothers said "you really should get the vaccine". He's my youngest brother and I love him very much so I didn't pound him. Not long after that a bunch of vaxxed in the family got it.
I know a few unjabbed people that have had it twice. Natural immunity is obviously far superior to vaccinal immunity (which for covid actually seems fairly non-existent) but, unfortunately, it doesn't look like it is one and done with this bioweapon.
I love Geert Van Den Bossche but his latest video made me even more depressed as I don't see a way to save us any more. The shots continue despite all of the evidence showing they should have been stopped long ago and even those with natural immunity can get reinfected.
I don't think Van Den Bossche really knows what's going to develop. I don't see the virus getting more destructive; if anything it will tend to hit people less hard over time.
I really thought, having had Delta last September, that I was never going to get it again. Wrong. It's not that different from a cold for me, a nasty ugly messy one, like the kind I used to get when I had first moved the DC area from pristine southwestern NYS after college. And like I used to get from our kids when they'd bring home every cold from their pre-K. Over the course of a few years I stopped catching these. I think EVENTUALLY covid will morph the same way as our immune systems catch on. Unless you're vaxxed more than three times. Brian Mowrey's substack "Unglossed" discusses how each shot gives rise to more IgG4 meaning your body will likely regard the virus as an allergen and lose its ability to fight it effectively.
It's so individual how this bug hits different people.
