That would be the biggest nightmare. To get rid of TB, someone needs 6 months of *isolated* treatment on multiple severe medicines – nobody follows the rule to self-isolate and no hospital has capacity to handle that + many people's bodies simply can't handle the heavy side effects so they just stop taking the meds. Causing: new antibiotic-resistant TB variants rapidly blooming on the world map: which govs never care to protect their populations by screening for during international air travel (except Japan – need a negative TB test to get a JP visa). This is genuinely a massive disaster waiting to happen because we simply do not have new antibiotics lined up.
