I would also characterise it as "Fool's Gold" given she is known to be extremely anti monarchy and all that goes with that - which includes titles and honours in the name, ultimately, of the sovereign who she despises? But doubtless she has convinced herself that she is "worthy" especially since she also appears to have brainwashed the immediate heir too?
The immediate heir was not brainwashed - he was selected for being dumber and incapable of posing a threat to her. Trust me, I have seen the type many times in my workplace (and mostly when the manager is woman). As far as the Red Dalek is concerned, you give her too much credit. Hypocrisy is not a concept that she is capable of understanding.
