I think that a good part of Long Covid is just fearmongering.

I do know someone with Covid-induced lung fibrosis though

100% agree, I also know two people still on O2 months out. After 4 months one of them started the hydrogen peroxide nebulizer with marked improvement and was able to ween off O2 quickly. To dismiss chronic disease post viral infection is asinine, akin to dismissing a ton of injured people on VAERS.

The same with chronic Lyme....I am watching the same movie...yes it exists/no its in your head/there is no treatment /it will clear up with a month of antibiotics etc etc. So I tend to think there is something going on here...but also think there could be a treatment...

I guess that „long covid“ does exist, but I think that‘s because sars-cov2 seems to wake up „sleeping“ inflammation and/or pathogens. I have found some studies that seem to prove this. At least it‘s something like this for me, since I have had covid a year ago I have been struggeling with waves of extreme fatigue, muscle soreness, anemia, hair loss etc. But I would not call this „long covid“ as I have an autoimmune condition and I guess that its symptoms have gotten worse due to the infection. It‘s the same for HHV6 and EBV, both seem to be correlated with autoimmunity. So - „long whatever virus“ is nothing new, it‘s just in the focus.

Beside the virus I am sure that the extreme fearmongering and stress caused by media and politics have led to a supressed immune system. Following some studies the immune system can be reduced up to 40% by stress and fear.
