We evolved quite divergently from the vegetarian Great Apes. They have massive digestive systems compared to ours, for dealing with large amounts of raw vegetable matter. Also, they have much more powerful liver enzymes for detoxifying plant lectins, agglutinins, etc. that may be reduced or denatured by heat or fermentation and that we develop health problems from (often unrecognized by the vegetarians/vegans). Humans have been using cooking for many thousands of years to make plants more digestible and safer. But animal foods naturally are more nutrient-dense and are almost toxin-free, so are the better choice for the bulk of our diets.

Also, humans did not develop such large and highly sophisticated brains until we switched to being primarily meat eaters.

Lol! But I also like more variety than straight carnivore: that gets a little boring! Plus there is something to be said for the effects on the gut of plant material, in moderation. But nobody can eat like a gorilla (seven pounds of poop a day!) We just don't have the proper plumbing for that!

Thank Dog Almighty we don't have that plumbing!!!!!! Even dogs don't need DAT. ;)

I eat meat, and greens, and maybe a bad thing: cheeeeeese. A bit of yogurt, veggies, and I try to stay arf the carbs, only sweet potatoes and once in a while other potatoes.

My one weakness (ja ja ja) is ICE CREAM, so I don't buy it, or I just eat it all, in about one minute.

Try making "ice cream" in a VitaMix or other powerful blender with crushed ice, coconut cream (or coconut milk) or half and half (or cream!), some no-sugar sweetener (monkfruit or stevia for the "Purists"; I personally don't see anything that proves saccharine is all that bad, and it tastes better), maybe a dab of maple syrup for flavor, a dash of ganilla, and some cold (or frozen) fruit. Banana gives it some thickness if you don't get burned out on banana flavor, but for a REALLY GOOD ice-creamy treat use ripe mango (or frozen slices). Maybe dried and soaked would also work. For some reason mango gives it an extra smooth texture that is more like soft ice cream than any other ingredient I have tried. Half and half or cream with cocoa powder and the blended-up ice makes a good chocolate ice cream substitute! Only a very powerful blender can do these thick enough.

For cheese: get a goat if you can, so you can stay away from the type 1A cow's milk! Lol!

No, I say NO to goats. I don't like the smed. I like real cheeeeeese. I donut fink there's anything wrong with cow's milk. Raw is best. Organic. Nature is gooood, CAFO's baaaaaad.

Lol! Baaaaaa—d!

Yes, they do go "baaaaaa"! But it is only the bucks that "smell", and mostly only when they are in rut. Which they still are now! Oh well! I just avoid touching them this time of year so I don't get the smell on my hands.

I'm not saying I donut like the critters!

But the goat cheese smed... it's stinky in a way I donut like. The critters can smed and that doesn't bother me a bit. ;)

Good quality goat milk smells/tastes just like cow's milk, and the cheese made from it smells just like other cheeses. Just milk and cheese from poor quality goats that turn rancid quickly smell bad.
