I hear you, and we absolutely can discuss at which age, with which strain of SARS-COV-2 the IFR shifts above that of influenza. My very rough guess is at about 60 years of age, when you average out all the factors.
But, and this is HUGE, there are two big unspoken facts about Covid, this is for Americans, who are the sickest first world nation on Earth, suffering from massive levels of metabolic syndrome, diabetes, obesity, heart disease and cancer. So our IFRs are massive compared to healthy populations, and secondly, those IFRs were, and still are calculated with absolute Medical Nihilism running the Covid show, or literally lethal treatment protocols in place!
