The problem with that Times Article - is that it's a CLASSIC "Limited Hangout" fallback position. The TRADECRAFT of Misdirection. It uses the "Intelligence" sources, who are ACTUALLY responsible - for creating the BioWeapons that THEY DELIBERATELY RELEASED - to pin the blame on the targeted enemies of the US/UK/NATO/Zionist Empire, whom they not only targeted deliberately, but had set-up as the 'fall guys', in advance.
Another interesting hypothesis put forward by Karen Kingston is that the SP was actually the GOF product. It was then attached to a LNP delivery system and aerosolized. Viola! A synthetic virus.
How much longer do we need to wait for them to admit that the chimeric virus has components of snake venom, HIV inserts and all sorts of other nasty stuff?
I’m also still thinking that they are pointing the finger at China as developing it as a bio weapon instead of admitting it was DARPA and Fort Detrick and paid for fully with taxpayer monies. Still possible that it leaked at Detrick earlier and they rushed to wuhan to release it there and elsewhere to stymie attempts to figure out that that happened.
Meanwhile, the following stories are being thrust in our faces to bury the covid disaster, Trump, DeSantis, Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, forest fires, global warming, Small trickles of Epstein info (but no real reveals) and finally my favorite, the UFO’s. They must be really desperate as they realize we aren’t buying what they are selling anymore!

There is a big problem with The Times article: RaTG13 was very early on in 2020 demonstrated likely to be a fake, synthetic construct due to highly unnatural ratio between two types of mutations. I followed the issue closely at the time and the evidence was convincing. There were several independent researchers who pointed this out.
So if that progenitor cave virus never really existed, this article does nothing to shed light on the actual origin of sars-cov-2. There may have been a RaBtCoV/4991 virus pulled from the cave but only a tiny part of the sequence was published and it was because that tiny part matched the likely fake RaTG13 that interest was generated in the Mojiang mine. That's a very thin thread of evidence. The rest of this is a lot of "super secret so we can't tell you" sigint derived assertions that obviously we can't follow up.
There has been a concerted effort to pin all blame on China recently including the Senate report. This strikes me as hanging out just a few more details all leading down the same path. Notice they don't mention the considerably larger amounts of DTRA funding to EcoHealth again, which is a long standing pattern.
At least they acknowledged that serial passage is a real thing. Before the Fauci / Farrar organized "not a lab leak" paper was fully discredited they always tried to deflect from animal passage since that paper was forced to bluster past the issue.
